Vad vill oppositionen?

Just writing in to say that the demonstration in Stockholm last evening (Medborgarplatsen) was perhaps the most ridiculous,
pointless demonstration I have ever been to. I came from Uppsala, the
minute I heard about this demo. In retrospect it seems like a huge
waste of time and effort. Had it not been for the sheer presence of so many kind and considerate people who showed up (in red) in such large numbers, the demonstration - in the manner in which it was organized - would have been an insult to the extraordinary courage of buddhist monks and burmese lay people - many who have fallen, and many more who are laying down their lives as we speak (and by refusing to resort to violence, teaching us what it truly means to be "civilized")

There was no march to the Chinese embassy. No direct show of solidarity. For god's sake, we could have at least lit some candles.
Nothing. Instead, we stood there for an hour, listening to speech
after mindless speech from ridiculous representatives of all swedish political parties, some of whom couldn't even pronounce Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's name correctly. Every person who came there, knew why they were there. The last thing we needed was lecturing (in replay mode). The same token phrases were repeated ad nauseam, till they all seemed hollow. It seems each political party was trying to win points by showing they cared for the people of Burma. Where was the march, the slogans, the singing ? It was all deeply disappointing.
C'mon Stockholm, we can surely do better !!
